Who are we? Underbudget Games of course!

We are a small indie studio focused on building well crafted games. We here at Underbudget have very limited money to invest in our projects but we do have time, drive, passion, and love. Every game that we produce we want players to have a good experience with. For this reason, "By the Players, For the Players" means a lot to me and I take it into consideration with every decision made.

This project started as our senior capstone project. We were tasked with creating a piece of software and we knew instantly that a game was the answer. Naturally I went in way over my head, though thats the fun in it. Over the years I have learned that a game doesn't necessarily have to be massive and full of half baked features, in reality games just need to be enjoyable. Throughout our time working together we've designed and iterated on many prototypes, all of which have been extremely insightful. Which is why I am confident in our next projects success.

I, as well as everyone here at Underbudget Games, welcome you to our community and can't wait to share more with you as we continue to grow and develop.

Head System's Engineer - Developer

I've always been interested in how things are made and function behind the scenes. Whether it is an advanced piece of machinery or software, I thrive in learning what it takes to build and run such a system. This curiosity, combined with my passion for video games, drives my interest in building unique game experiences.

Lead Concept Artist - Artist

Growing up, video games have always been a present part of my life. Some of the earliest memories I have are playing games with friends and family. As time went on, I developed an interest in the development side of things, from assets like art and music, to more abstract parts such as game balance and core design philosophy.

Project Lead - Game Director

I've loved games all my life, and I often times draw inspiration from random things in the world. From any hobby I do whether it's DYI, bowling, mathematics, writing or music. Outside of my hobbies I enjoy reading articles to learn about various topics from art to technology all the way to philosophy, and I find myself relating it all back to how it can make the games I design the best versions of themselves.
